"Steel Kiss is, in the end, an unstated affirmation of the importance of love between ordinary people , and their right to that love." - The Province

Neil, Jack, Tony and Billy are responsible for the brutal murder of a gay man. A journey from innocence to cruelty to evil is exposed through events leading up to a ruthless beating. Steel Kiss confronts us with an examination of the proximity of prejudice to hatred and violence. A cold and emotional view of the price of intolerance, Steel Kiss is a clear lesson in the value of acceptance.

Playwright and teacher Robin Fulford was motivated to write Steel Kiss after a man was kicked to death in High Park, Toronto.

On Stage February 14-24  2008
Waterfront Theatre, Granville Island, Vancouver

"Steel Kiss is one of the best shows you'll see this season. It's a smart script, fantastically well acted, and masterfully directed." - Georgia Straight

"superbly directed and well acted..." - reviewVancouver

Feedback and Reviews

Overall, I though this play was so awesome. Although the images were raw and there was a lot of horrible language, I thought that it enhanced the play and the actors roles. The actors movements and body language made the show and the music and visual spurs were amazing and showed true transitions. A job well done!
