"This morning I saw your play "Derwent is Different". I saw the way Lucas (the bully) was acting and I realized that I kind of acted a little bit like him. So I went to my friends and said sorry for everything I've ever done bad. I thought your play was really neat and inspiring."

-Jeffrey, Grade 6 Student

Green Thumb Theatre creates and produces plays that explore social issues relevant to the lives of children, youth, and young adults. We provide theatre that celebrates the language and stories of today's generation and culture to stimulate empathy, debate and critical thinking.

We believe that young people deserve the opportunity to see high quality, professional theatre that will inspire them in their daily lives.

"Being almost 16 years old, I know a lot of people who have had problems with meth, and seeing that performance really helped me understand what I could do to help them out with becoming clean. I've even done a little bit of experimenting myself and now I've seen that performance it makes me want to change."

-Sammi, Grade 10 Student
