BILLY THE KID sees the impact of family decisions through the eyes of a child.

Billy lives with his divorced mother in the city. Despite his parents being separated, Billy lives happily with his mother, seeing his Dad on Sundays at the zoo.  He gets up every morning to deliver the morning paper, plays with Spot the dog, and has snowball fights with his friends Peanut and Tracey. But all this must be left behind when his mother is forced to move to the country to find work.  Billy doesn’t understand why they must move. He refuses to talk and attempts to run away, convinced that his mother doesn’t love him.  Eventually he starts to settle into his new school, realises his selfishness, and finds comfort in his new home.
