2022 GENERAL AUDITIONS

Green Thumb Theatre is accepting submissions from Lower Mainland based performers for our 2022-23 Season.

While these are General Auditions, and full casting information is not available at this time, information about Green Thumb’s full 2022-23 season can be found on our website: https://www.greenthumb.bc.ca/whats-on/season

All of our 2022-23 shows are touring productions – please only submit if you are interested and available for work that tours.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls.

All artists will be engaged under a CTA form of contract, specifically Article 55:00 Theatre for Young Audiences. Submissions from Equity and non-Equity performers are welcome. Accommodations are arranged and per diems are supplied for any out-of-town touring as per the CTA.

All characters in the 2022-23 season productions will be portrayed by adult actors

Please submit a headshot, brief cover letter (pdf), and resumé (pdf) as attachments in one email by May 4th, 2022 at 4:30pm, with attachments named in the following format: YourName_Headshot, YourName_Coverletter, and YourName_CV. In your cover letter let us know a little bit about yourself and what interests you about working with Green Thumb Theatre.

In the body of the email please indicate if you are an Equity member and if you have a valid class 5 driver’s license. Email your application to submissions@greenthumb.bc.ca with the subject line: GENERAL AUDITIONS – Your Name

Those who submitted for our general auditions and introductions in February 2021 are welcome to submit a brief letter of continued interest in pdf format. You do not need to re-submit a headshot and resumé.

Auditions will be taking place in-person on May 18th and 19th, 2022. Auditionees are asked to prepare one contemporary monologue (written post 1980), running no more than two minutes in length. Monologues should be selected from plays, please do not prepare material from a musical, film, or television show. Green Thumb Theatre has a Mandatory Vaccine Policy for all staff and contractors. All those auditioning will be required to provide proof of double vaccination and adhere to the COVID-19 audition policies that will be sent out prior to your audition date.

Deadline to submit for consideration is May 4th, 2022 by 4:30pm. We thank all applicants for their interest. Due to capacity, we will only be contacting individuals we will be inviting to audition.
