Join us for the first public readings of Green Thumb Theatre's Playwrights' Gym!

Over the past several months, five playwrights have been developingbrand-new works for young audiences through our Playwrights' Gym. We're excited to share the first two of these new plays with the public.

Green Thumb Theatre’s Playwrights’ Gym is a paid mentorship intensive designed to support the next generation of playwrights creating bold, engaging Theatre for Young Audiences. With a particular focus on writing plays that tour to schools, the program combines cohort sessions, one-on-one mentorship, dedicated writing time, exposure to inspiring work from the international TYA scene and guest speaker sessions with some of Canada's leading voices in TYA and new play development.

These public readings offer a rare opportunity to experience new Canadian plays at an early stage of development and to support the next generation of theatre for young audiences.
