GENERAL AUDITIONS & INTRODUCTIONS

* APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL: February 15, 2021

No auditions or introductions will be held in person at this time.

Green Thumb Theatre and new Artistic Director, Rachel Aberle, are looking to meet adult artists/theatre industry professionals based in the lower mainland of BC. If you have been employed with Green Thumb in the last 3 years, you do not need to submit, but are welcome to send a brief expression of interest letter.

Please note: due to COVID-19 our programming for upcoming seasons is not confirmed and this is an opportunity to meet emerging and established talent that are interested in working with Green Thumb in the future.

PERFORMERS: Please submit a headshot, resume, and self-tape video up to 6 minutes in length. The video must include a 2-3 minute contemporary monologue (written post 1980). You may fill the remaining time with whatever additional materials/information you wish – music, dance, you may speak about your interests, practice, or any other information you feel moved to share. We are hoping to get to know you a little bit, even in this strange format!

We ask that you upload your video via Dropbox or private YouTube/Vimeo link in your submission package. If this is not an option for you, please let us know by emailing submissions@greenthumb.bc.ca and we will happily discuss ways to accommodate your submission. Please note that while all submissions will be watched, follow-up meetings will be determined on a project by project basis.

DIRECTORS: Please submit a CV and a letter of interest and we will contact you with an interview time. Interviews are being held via video call on:

Wednesday, February 24th between 2 and 4pm

Thursday, February 25th between 6 and 8pm

Friday, February 26th between 10am and 12pm

Please indicate in your letter of interest if you have a preferred date and time slot and we will do our best to accommodate. Requests for specific times cannot be accommodated. If you have no prior directing experience or training and are interested in being considered for assistant director positions, please indicate this in your letter of interest.

CHOREOGRAPHERS, FIGHT DIRECTORS, INTIMACY COACHES: Please submit a CV and a letter of interest. As these roles are not frequently called for in our productions, any interviews will be held on an individual show basis.

PLAYWRIGHTS: Hold tight! Green Thumb will be announcing a playwright development program shortly. We also accept script submissions and pitches at any time, please send a letter of interest and PDF of your script if available to submissions@greenthumb.bc.ca.

STAGE MANAGERS and SET/COSTUME/SOUND DESIGNERS: Hold tight! Stay tuned for a call out for submissions later this spring/summer.
