Season Announcement

Next season we hit the road with enduring classics, fan favourites, and a world premiere!

Ian Tamblyn's Land of Trash will take elementary school students on a futuristic journey to a world impacted by climate change. This fast-paced adventure enjoyed a successful BC tour this past year, and will return with dates in BC, Ontario, and the US! Green Thumb's classic Not So Dumb by John Lazarus  will receive a brand new production, with dates throughout BC. The play explores how celebrating our differences can lead to unexpected friendships, and remains just as relevant today as when it premiered more than 30 years ago.

For secondary schools, we are thrilled to present the world premiere of The Code, by Rachel Aberle (Still/Falling) in the spring of 2018. Touching on themes surrounding online citizenship, accountability for our words, and the complexity of navigating the line between 'just friends' and something more, this play has something for all teens to relate to. We are also very excited to be partnering with Neworld Theatre to present Marcus Youssef's play Jabber, which looks at the effects of Islamaphobia, and challenges audiences to examine their own assumptions about one another.

Finally, we are delighted to announce that Still/Falling will return for its third year of touring, and that Celestial Being will return for its fifth! Congrats to Dave Deveau for writing one of our most beloved contemporary pieces.
